Ali has been teaching Performing Arts, Musical Theatre, Singing and Dance for 20 years and has been part of the Starlight Stars team since 2010. Ali delivers all our private singing and Musical Theatre lessons and prepares the students for LAMDA examinations. She completed a BTEC National Diploma in Musical Theatre, an HND in Performing Arts and a one year intensive training diploma at Mountview Theatre Arts and The London School of Musical Theatre. Most recently she is currently working towards her PCE in teacher training. Ali loves the Starlight Stars family and all of the students who have been through the doors over the years.. Even more so when they pop in to say hello!
Hannah has been a Starlight Stars tutor since 2017, and currently teaches our group Performing Arts and Street Dance classes. Hannah also co-ordinates our Performing Arts classes and updates our social media channels! When she is not teaching for Starlight Stars, Hannah runs her own dance company - Imagination Dance - who provide dance opportunities for older people and those with disabilities. Hannah's favourite musical is Les Miserablés, and her dream role is Fanny Brice from Funny Girl!
Ella joined Starlights as a mini performer and over the years worked on solo, duo and group Drama and Musical Theatre LAMDA exams up to Grade 8 and took part in many of our shows and showcases.
She has trained and performed with Spirit Young Performers Company, BSMTCY, BSPA, Stage Right College and Momentum Performing Arts Academy and continues vocal coaching with Kate Graham (Mamma Mia, Come From Away).
Ella competed in musical theatre competitions as a soloist and as part of a team with BSPA at many festivals gaining first place on many occasions.
During the first 2020 lockdown Ella wrote and performed the Starlights lockdown parties for 3-5 year olds raising £500 for the NHS.
She is thrilled to now be working for Starlight Stars and is looking forward to other new projects later in the year as lockdown eases and new opportunities arise.
Tom trained at Guildford School of Acting and has been a professional within the Arts for many years, appearing in a number of television dramas (Casualty, Emmerdale) and theatrical tours (Jesus Christ Superstar). Tom has since moved on from performing to share his skills and experience with the industry’s future professionals, coaching voice and singing at some of the UK’s top drama schools.
